How to prepare
- Let the hair grow to about a quarter inch.
- Gentle exfoliation a day or two before — not right before.
- Pause retinoids, acids and strong exfoliants as directed.
- Tell me about Accutane, prescription skincare, recent peels or laser — keeping your skin attached to your face matters more than the brows.
The days after
Downtime and aftercare
- Skin may be pink or tender for a bit.
- First day or two: no hot tubs, saunas, very hot showers or heavy sweat.
- Hands off the area.
- Once it settles, gentle exfoliation and moisturizer help prevent ingrowns.
Going forward
How often
- Every 4–6 weeks.
- Put the razor down between visits — same growth cycle, more consistent results.
Common questions
How long should the hair be?
Long enough for the wax to grip — usually about a quarter inch. If you are unsure, ask when you book.
Can I wax if I use a retinoid or just had a peel?
Tell us first. Retinoids, recent peels or microneedling on the area can make skin lift, so facial waxing may need to wait or be adjusted.
Does waxing make the hair grow back thicker?
No — waxing removes hair from the root, and over time with consistent waxing many people find the hair grows back finer and easier to manage, not thicker. The key is to stay consistent and put the razor down between appointments, since shaving interrupts the growth cycle.
Can I add a brow cleanup to a facial?
Yes — book both, or ask at your visit. Members get one brow cleanup or underarm wax included each month.
